Is this colleague a friend, or at least a co-worker you like? If so, you should tell them. Be nice about it, but point out some things they're doing that making them look like an ass.

If you wait until they're in the process of doing somthing stupid, and then point it out, you won't come off as a jerk and avoid having to sit down for a "we need to talk" conversation.

If it's a co-worker that you don't like, then just sit back and enjoy the ass-tastic show. I'm sure other people will notice and be on your side and not this other person.
